Pall Thayer is an Icelandic artist currently pursuing his MFA at Concordia University in Montreal. He has been active in the field of internet-based art since 1997. His work deals with using interaction as a way of creating abstract audio-visual art. Having begun as a painter, with painterly aspirations, Pall tends to approach his work as paintings where the medium being manipulated is numerical data and code instead of paint. His work has been exhibited in the USA, Canada, Brazil and throughout Europe. He has taught computer-based art courses and given several presentations, lectures and participated in a panel on GPS art at ISEA 2004.
