Malajube is a Canadian pop-rock quintet that in 2004 quietly impressed listeners with their debut record Le Compte Complet and more recently has drawn a wide amount of praise for their second album Trompe l'oeil.
Trompe l'oeil has earned Malajube a FX award at ADISQ for Revelation of the Year, two FX awards at Autre Gala ADISQ for Alternative album of the year and Album cover. They also won the Artist of the Year and and Best Alternative Rock album awards at GAMIQ and has garnered attention from Pitchfork, Wired, Fader, Filter, Spin, Penthouse, Vanity Fair and more.
Montreal -40 was directed by Louis-Philippe Eno of NuFilms, and post-produced by Mandarine 2. The video was up for nomination for the Indie Music Video Festival and was presented in Toronto, Calgary, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York and Vancouver, as well as an exhibition at Montreal's Contempory Art Museum. |
