Ali Taylor has worked as an animator, illustrator and director on various film and design projects since graduating from The Surrey Institute of Art and Design (Animation BA Hons) with 1st class honours in 2001. She regularly exhibits as an illustrator in London and the North East of England. Ali gained the Channel 4 commission to make Puleng in 2003 following an artists residency with the BFI on the Animator in Residence Scheme in 2002. Puleng is her first film as a graduate and represents her photographic composite style. It was inspired by her up bringing in The Kingdom of Lesotho (Southern Africa). She is currently represented as an animation director by Sherbet in London.
