Jill Kennedy was born 1981 in Glasgow, Scotland. In 1982 her family moved to Auckland, New Zealand. She has been living in Auckland where she recently graduated from a Graduate Diploma in Design. Prior to this, she completed a Bachelor of Design majoring in Fine Art Painting in 2002. Jill is currently exhibiting a solo show ' New Educational Series (Part One)' at the Tauranga Public Art Gallery 2007. Group shows in living memory in which her work has been included are ' Why I can't Dance to Techno' Enjoy Gallery in Wellington 2002, ' Congo' Jonathan Smart Gallery in Christchurch 2007, ' Image Bank' The Public Art Gallery 2007 in Tauranga, ' Inside Out Snow' White Gallery 2002, ' End of Year Group Show' Room 401 2002 and ' Forrestaurant' The City Art Rooms in Auckland 2007. Jill's recent animation work has screened at the PDX Experimental Film Festival 2007 - Portland, the Worldwide Short Film Festival Official Selection 2007 - Toronto, the New Zealand International Film Festival
