No Man Is An Island II
Jesper Just was born in Copenhagen, Denmark.  Just graduated from Copenhagen's Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2003.  He currently lives and works in New York.  Just's films explore issues of identity and human relationships between men.  His 2004 film NO MAN IS AN ISLAND II relies on music, specifically Roy Orbison's "Crying", to allow his characters to move beyond social inhibitions and express emotion outwardly.

Just is a recent recipient of the 2008 Carnegie Art Award.  The Carnegie Art Award supports skilled artists born or living in the Nordic countries.
